The estimate above works from five numbers. The teardown works from the document: the exact tariff your meter is billed on, the fifteen minutes that set your demand charge, your contract dates, and whether you are paying sales tax you do not owe.
You do not need to pull your meter data. Tick the box and we request the twelve months of fifteen-minute readings from Smart Meter Texas ourselves. It is your data and it is free; the only reason it usually goes unread is that nobody asks for it.
We strip the account number and service address before the bill is filed, it stays on our own machine, and we delete it whenever you ask. We will not add you to a list, and nobody else sees it.
About these numbers
Delivery charges, demand rates and customer charges are the utility's, published in their filed tariffs, and this page uses representative figures for each service area. A real teardown uses the exact schedule your meter is billed on, which we read off your bill rather than assume. The peak findings on this page are estimated from your load factor; the report finds the actual peak in your fifteen-minute meter data and tells you what time of day it happened, which is the difference between knowing there is a problem and knowing what to do about it.
